On the 14th of August, 2006, the school girls were participating in a first-aid training workshop when four K-fir jet bombers of the SL Air Force dropped 16 bombs on the premises of the Sencholai children’s home in Vallipuram, Mullaitivu. 14 years later, a tuition centre named its classroom with these girls names in commemoration. When the cries of innocent children reverberate across decades, is commemoration the final word in resistance?
